Analyzing the Potential of HubPages and Medium
How would HubPages do compared to Medium with the same articles?
The writer wondering how to best utilize the websites they write for. Would writing for HubPages (HP) be more lucrative than Medium? For instance, how would articles do about HP or Medium on HP vs. Medium?
I could write about society, politics, life stories, etc. The articles on my website (BSA) could go to HP. One reason they haven’t is they have to be on HP first, then can be syndicated elsewhere. I like to write my articles on BSA first and then on Medium. I can’t put other work on HP that was published first elsewhere, that is against HP policy.
That is why HP has been used by me for publishing creative writing stories for the last two years, which I then syndicate on Medium and make into books eventually.
Yet, with Medium being so lackluster with views and gaining any traction even with 4–10 articles a month, I wonder how well HP would do with the same articles each month. As it is, HP monthly is down to 283 views, while Medium is at 470.
I haven’t published an article on HP since one month ago, before that 4 months. Still, 283 views, which is similar to Medium when neglected.
The problem with Medium is that if you have 400 views, that doesn’t mean you will get paid…
