HubPages vs. Medium/30-Day Comparison
How much money did I make with these platforms?
Last month, I did a comparison between NewsBreak and Medium, but the numbers weren’t even close (NB beating M badly). So, this month I thought it would be fairer to compare Medium with HubPages.
Here are the details for the month of March:
HubPages
- Views: 423
- Money: $4.19
- Articles written in March: 0 (35 total)
Medium
- Views: 1,385 (576 reads, 86 fans)
- Money: $4.31 (plus $2.27 from wife as referral = $6.58)
- Articles written in March: 8 (76 total)
After paying $5 for my Medium membership, I would actually be losing money if it weren’t for my wife being my only referral. For the sake of this comparison, I won’t count this expense, as I could make around the same money without it.
I didn’t even have to write an article on HubPages to make as much as I did on Medium posting 8 articles. Most of this comes from one evergreen article I wrote on HubPages around 9 years ago.
